Battery Power Competencies, Solutions & Uses

What makes the PowerReady™ IPS™ Unique?

The PowerReady Indoor Power System (IPS) bridges the gap between UPS systems that provide seamless backup power, but only to a single device, and automatic generators, which require permits, complex installation, fuel, frequent maintenance and deliver poor power quality. Indoor application, silent operation and portability make the PowerReady IPS ideal for homes, businesses and medical facilities.

Is it safe to use a generator indoors?

The PowerReady IPS is indoor approved, requires no fuel or maintenance and produces no polluting emissions… so it’s safe to use indoors and safe for the environment, your family, employees and customers! Pure Sine Wave Technology delivers sag and surge free, clean and uninterrupted power for medical equipment, computers and other sensitive electronics.

How is it powered?

The PowerReady IPS 12000 stores energy in 4 proprietary commercial grade batteries and will power necessities in a typical home for 4-5 days (based on 3000W per 24 hrs). For extended outages the PowerReady IPS Solar Panels (sold separately) can be plugged into the IPS for continuous, cost free and maintenance free power. When power returns, a full recharge typically takes a 4 hours.

Does it need to be installed?

The PowerReady IPS comes with a standard wall outlet plug and requires no installation or permitting. Simply plug the PowerReady IPS into the wall outlet at your home or business and the unit will sense when the electricity has been turned off, and any appliance connected to the outlets will automatically start within one second or you can activate the IPS with the on/off button. The PowerReady IPS can also be professionally connected to a load center (by a licensed electrician) to automatically and remotely power your necessities during an outage at your home or business.

Where can I put the PowerReady IPS?

The PowerReady IPS is emission-free, about the size of a utility cabinet, and can be placed anywhere in your residence, business or medical facility. For best performance, it should be placed in a dry location with temperatures that stay under 84 Fahrenheit. Never place the PowerReady IPS outdoors.

What circuits can I power with the PowerReady IPS?

The PowerReady IPS can power most 120 volt household appliances. Connecting the PowerReady IPS to a load center affords more options, including the use of alarm systems, wired and outdoor lighting, ceiling and exhaust fans, garage door openers and more!

What maintenance does the PowerReady IPS require?

The PowerReady IPS has no moving parts and requires only an annual check, which can be performed by the owner, to ensure that the system is operating properly.

How can it be recharged?

When power returns, the PowerReady IPS will automatically begin recharging through the input plug connected to the wall outlet. The PowerReady IPS can also be recharged quickly with a gas generator or by connecting the (sold separately) PowerReady IPS Solar Panels, which use the sun to recharge the batteries as it is being used.

How long will the PowerReady IPS last with a Solar Panel?

Connecting the Solar Panels (sold separately) to the PowerReady IPS 12000 will afford approximately 12 days (based on 2000W of solar input a day) instead of 4-5 days (based on 3000W per 24 hrs) of power (from the battery) because the panels recharge the unit while it is being used

How often will I have to replace the batteries in my PowerReady IPS?

PowerReady uses only the highest quality and longest lasting valve-regulated, sealed lead-acid batteries. Under typical usage, they will last 7-10 years before needing replacement.
